About
Two kids from Luzern, four years, one brand.
ACID TEARS was born at 2 a.m. on a warm summer night in 2022. Lint and Mo were listening to music, intoxicated by the devil's lettuce, drawing in their sketchbooks. They realised that they really liked drawing and being creative together.
It wasn't even the first time. Back in secondary school they had been drawing in their school agendas and on maths papers to beat the boredom. After that they started at the FKG Luzern together.
When they got accepted to the FKG they were so excited — a graphic design school, where they would finally get to be creative and turn their creative visions into something that others would hopefully admire.
But they found out fast that it wasn't what they had imagined. They didn't get to draw or design what they wanted. For a creative school the project guidelines were very strict, and they couldn't live out their passion for drawing. They kept getting bad grades because the projects just didn't interest them enough. So after one year, their dream of being a graphic designer was over.
They both quit, because their grades were so terrible they would have been kicked out anyway. So they both got jobs in a completely different field — Lint as a cook, Mo as a gardener.
Mo excelled at his gardening job. But even though he liked the nature side of it, he still missed his sketchbook and the freedom of being creative. Lint, on the other hand, was miserable at his new job. The times were tough, he almost never saw his friends, and the kitchen was a very stressful environment. He desperately kept looking for a new opportunity. After eight months he finally got an apprenticeship as a Mediamatiker, where he would learn layout, photography, videography and web design.
Back in Lint's room, they decided they wanted to do this more often. They both really liked streetwear, and like most kids they had been dreaming of their own clothing brand for years, so they decided to start one. They would meet every Wednesday to work on it.
It took them longer than expected — four years. Just for the logo they took a whole year, because they didn't want some ugly-ass Canva logo, or something they had seen a thousand times before with a cringy name like Acid Hustlers. But after all that work, they are launching their first piece, FKNK, in the summer of 2026.
